Photo Etched Lapel Pins with Your Logo

2 models · minimums from 100 pcs

A photo etched pin is made with light and acid instead of a striking die. Your design is transferred to brass and etched, then the recessed areas are filled with soft enamel. Because there is no die, photo etched pins hold finer lines and smaller text than struck pins, and they usually cost less.

BrandedPins offers an etched soft enamel pin plated in 24kt gold, silver or copper, and a low minimum photo etched pin from 100 pieces.

When to choose photo etching

Choose etching when your logo has thin lines, small lettering or a lot of detail that would fill in on a struck pin. Etched pins are slightly thinner than struck pins, so they feel lighter, and an epoxy coating protects the enamel.

Etched or struck

For a heavier pin with raised metal you can feel, choose die struck pins. For gradients or photos, choose printed lapel pins.

Frequently asked questions

Are photo etched pins cheaper than die struck pins?
Usually yes, because no striking die is made. They are slightly thinner, which keeps the cost down.
Do photo etched pins have an epoxy coating?
An epoxy coating is available and protects the enamel; on the etched soft enamel pin it is optional at no extra cost.
